A doula will guide you on your journey to motherhood by being there for you, your partner and family from the start of your labor until your baby arrives and is snuggled safely in your arms. The history of women supporting women in childbirth goes back thousands of years to a time when women knew what to do and the village women gathered to help. This is what a doula does. She is there for you with knowing, understanding, compassion and loyalty. Doula is a Greek word meaning “slave” and as such a doula provides a woman the consistency and continuity of care she craves. A mother to the mother and a handmaid to the family a doula will help preserve your sacred moment of birth.
